A man tragically lost his life in a collision near Kerman on Monday evening after he disregarded a stop sign, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at the intersection of Butte Avenue and American Avenue, as the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado failed to stop and collided with a Honda Civic. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 30-year-old Kerman resident, experienced a medical emergency upon exiting his vehicle and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The driver of the Honda sustained minor injuries and was also taken to a local hospital. Thankfully, both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and neither was believed to be under the influence of any substances.
