Driver identified in fatal Edinburg crash
EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man is dead after veering off the road into a ditch, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Authorities say a man driving a Dodge Ram was traveling northbound on FM 907 north of Alberta Road lost control of the vehicle and, for unknown reasons, began to spin out. The Dodge veered off the roadway onto the eastside bar ditch and struck a light pole. The incident happened at 7:42 a.m. Authorities say the driver, identified as Reynaldo Garza, Jr., 43, was wearing a seatbelt. Garza died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash. He was a resident of Alamo. DPS Troopers are further investigating the crash.
