Driver for Anthony Joshua charged with dangerous driving after deadly crash.
Nigerian police have charged the driver of a car involved in a fatal crash with British boxer Anthony Joshua for reckless and dangerous driving causing death. The driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has also been charged with driving without a valid national driver's license and driving without due care and attention. He was granted bail set at five million naira, around $3,500, pending two sureties, but remains in detention until meeting the conditions. The next court appearance for Kayode is scheduled for January 20. Road accidents are a frequent occurrence in Nigeria, with the country recording thousands of deaths in road accidents in the past. The crash involved Joshua and his friends on a busy highway in Southwest Nigeria, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. Joshua sustained minor injuries and was observed at a hospital before being released. The incident occurred shortly after his victory in a non-title bout in Miami.
