Driver faces life threatening injuries after early morning crash
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department is investigating a serious car crash that took place just after 8:30 a.m. on May 19, 2025. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a Ford F-250 that had rolled over and landed off the road, while a Toyota Tacoma was seen stopped nearby. Initial investigations indicate that the Tacoma was traveling south on Broad Acres Road when it attempted to make a turn. The Tacoma entered the path of the westbound F-250 and caused a collision. The force of the impact caused the Ford F-250 to flip over several times before it came to rest in a nearby wooded area. The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was partially ejected from the vehicle during the accident and sustained life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford F-250 voluntarily took an impairment test, which showed no signs of impairment, and he declined medical attention at the scene. Currently, no tickets have been issued, and the investigation remains ongoing.
