Driver faces DUI charges after 3 injured in Crystal Lake accident
A 23-year-old man in Crystal Lake was charged with driving under the influence after a crash that injured himself and two passengers early Friday morning. The driver was reportedly speeding when he crashed his pickup truck into a tree at Crystal Ridge and Carmella Drives. He and one passenger were airlifted to local hospitals in critical and stable condition, while another passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver faces misdemeanor DUI charges, among others. The Crystal Lake police are continuing to investigate the incident.
