Driver faces charges in fatal Brooklyn crash

The driver involved in a tragic crash in Midwood, Brooklyn that resulted in the deaths of a mother and her two daughters is set to appear for arraignment on Wednesday. Miriam Yarimi, 32, is facing several charges, including three counts of criminally negligent homicide, speeding, and reckless endangerment. The incident occurred over the weekend on Ocean Parkway near Quentin Avenue when Yarimi's Audi A3 struck a Toyota Camry before hitting the family in a crosswalk. Sadly, Natasha Saada, 34, and her daughters, Diana, 8, and Deborah, 5, lost their lives, while her 4-year-old son Philip is in critical condition. Yarimi, who had her license suspended, had multiple violations and unpaid fines. The NYPD Commissioner highlighted the devastating impact of the crash and reiterated the need for stricter laws, such as implementing speed-limiting devices for repeat offenders.
