Driver dies on Southern California freeway from loose tire
On Monday morning, a tragic accident took place on the 60 Freeway in Pomona resulting in the loss of the vehicle driver's life. Reports indicate that a tire detached from a truck, flew into traffic, and crashed through the windshield of a white sedan traveling in the eastbound lanes, leading to the driver's fatality. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. close to the South Garey Avenue offramp and was documented by the California Highway Patrol. Footage from the location showed firefighters attending to the aftermath of the collision involving the white sedan, which had its driver's side windshield shattered and severely damaged by the truck tire.
