
Driver dies in fiery single-vehicle crash in Cooper City, officials say
A South Florida driver is dead after a fiery single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning, officials said. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, at about 1 a.m., deputies and the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to the reported crash near the 8300 block of Sheridan Street in Cooper City. When crews arrived, they saw a car partially engulfed in flames. Investigators said the driver crashed into a tree, which led to the car catching fire.Firefighters extinguished the flames. The driver of the vehicle, who has not been identified at this time, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.The cause of the crash is under investigation by BSO's Traffic Homicide detectives.
