Driver deceased, Louisville Metro Police officer hurt in collision on Fern Valley Rd.
A fatal collision occurred on Fern Valley Road involving a Louisville Metro Police Department officer and resulted in a fatality. The incident took place at the intersection of Fern Valley Road and Jeanine Drive around 9 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the LMPD, the officer was responding to assist EMS when their vehicle collided with another vehicle traveling west on Fern Valley Road. Unfortunately, the driver of the other vehicle was fatally injured in the crash, while the LMPD officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
