Driver critically hurt in head-on collision on Sheridan Dr. in Amherst
The Amherst police are currently investigating a serious head-on collision that took place on Thursday afternoon on Sheridan Drive near Fleetwood Terrace. A 74-year-old woman from Williamsville was driving east when she crossed into the oncoming westbound lanes and collided with a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old man from Buffalo. The man sustained serious injuries, while the woman had non-life-threatening injuries. Both drivers were treated at the scene and then transported to ECMC for further treatment. Police are encouraging anyone with dash cam or security camera footage of the incident to reach out to them at (716) 689-1311.
