Driver crashes into police cruiser, sending officer and another individual to hospital
A Green Township police officer and another individual were involved in a crash on Wednesday evening on Interstate-74 near Rybolt Road and Harrison Avenue. The officer was waiting for a tow truck to assist another driver when their police cruiser was struck by another car. Both the officer and the other person were injured and taken to Mercy Health Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries. The officer has since been released from the hospital. Green Township police are requesting any information on the incident to be reported to their traffic unit at (513) 574-0007.
