Driver charged with multiple offenses following deadly collision on I-95.

A tragic incident unfolded on Interstate 95 in Brevard County where three individuals lost their lives following a high-speed chase. The victims, identified as Alicia Maria Carter, Eleasya Fulton, and Leon Holmes, were passengers in a white Mercedes that collided with two trucks on an exit ramp. The driver, 41-year-old Vernon Hodges, was speeding at 110 mph, prompting authorities to initiate a pursuit. Witnesses captured dashcam footage showing the Mercedes maneuvering through traffic before crashing. Hodges failed to stop even after being signaled by law enforcement and eventually collided with a tow truck assisting another vehicle. Hodges was injured in the crash, while the victims, sadly, did not survive. Alcohol was found in the vehicle, and Hodges tested positive for DUI. Charges against Hodges include reckless driving, DUI, and other serious offenses in connection to the tragic incident.
