Driver charged in fatal wrong-way crash in Ozaukee County

A man from Milwaukee has been charged with two counts of 1st-degree reckless homicide and one count of 1st-degree reckless injury in connection with a tragic wrong-way crash in Ozaukee County that resulted in the deaths of a couple from Oostburg and serious injuries to their daughter. The 34-year-old suspect, Ace Vue, is currently in the hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. on May 26, 2025, when Vue was observed driving in the wrong direction on I-43. The collision occurred after Vue's vehicle, a red Lexus, sped southbound in the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into a blue Ford Escape. Despite efforts to avoid the crash, the collision was unavoidable, resulting in the tragic loss of two lives and severe injuries to the surviving daughter. Speeds in excess of 100 mph were recorded on Vue's vehicle's dashcam, revealing a series of dangerous actions leading up to the collision. The sheriff's office suspects that drugs and/or alcohol may have played a role in the crash. Family members have been struck by the loss of their loved ones and are rallying support for their surviving daughter through fundraising events and online donations.
