Driver caught after leaving accident with 10 vehicles on Highway 101 in San Francisco
A woman was arrested after causing a multi-vehicle crash with injuries on Highway 101 in San Francisco. The incident closed down two lanes earlier, but all lanes are now open. California Highway Patrol responded to the 10-vehicle crash and identified the driver who tried to flee as an adult female. She had reportedly assaulted an employee before the accident, then fled the scene and got on the highway. The woman was driving recklessly and caused the crash before attempting to escape on foot, but was caught by CHP officers. She is currently in the hospital for minor injuries. Several other individuals were taken to the hospital with minor injuries as well. Authorities suspect the driver may have been involved in other incidents before the crash. Drivers should anticipate residual delays in the area.
