Driver arrested for suspected DUI after fatal 3-car crash
A fatal collision occurred on the 215 Southern Beltway in Las Vegas resulting in one driver potentially facing DUI charges and other potential legal consequences. The incident, which involved three vehicles, took place close to 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27. The Nevada State Police reported that a speeding Nissan Sentra crashed into the back of a Porsche Cayenne SUV in the eastbound lanes. The SUV's driver, Alejandro Filomeno-Montoya, 31, exited his vehicle and was unfortunately struck and killed by a third vehicle that collided with the Sentra. The driver of the Nissan Sentra, who was not named in the announcement, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and could be charged with additional offenses according to Trooper Shawn Haggstrom.
