
Driver arrested after messy Westlake hit-and-run injures 4 hospitalized patients
The hit-and-run incident in Westlake on Sunday afternoon has resulted in new, tragic information coming to light. The Los Angeles Police Department has provided updates on the incident to KTLA, revealing that what was initially thought to involve two cars actually included four vehicles. The crash at Olympic Boulevard and Union Avenue left two people dead and at least four others injured. Emergency responders, including the L.A. Fire Department, had to rescue two severely injured adults from the wreckage, both of whom were later pronounced dead at the hospital. The suspect, who initially fled the scene, was eventually located and taken into custody with possible DUI charges pending. The investigation is ongoing, with more charges being considered by the LAPD.
