Driver arrested after fatal crash caused by intoxication
A man from Henderson, Kentucky, who was involved in a deadly accident on St. Joseph Avenue has been arrested. Malik Stafford was taken into custody at the Vanderburgh County Jail after being discharged from the hospital. Authorities reported that Stafford was driving a box truck on Saint Joseph Avenue and collided with an SUV, resulting in the death of the SUV's driver, Maria Guetling. Her child sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. Deputies suspect that Stafford was impaired by marijuana at the time of the incident.
