Driver arrested 1 mile from deadly Bishop Arts crash
A pedestrian in the Bishop Arts District was tragically struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while crossing the street after parking his car to meet friends. The incident occurred on Sunday night on West Davis Street in Dallas, with police responding to the scene around 10:30 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver fled the scene after crashing the SUV into a parked car. Authorities caught the driver about an hour later, and he was taken into custody after receiving medical clearance. The identities of the victim and driver have not been disclosed.
