Driver airlifted after collision with dump truck in Niagara Co.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A woman was airlifted to ECMC for non-life-threatening injuries following a crash involving a dump truck at the intersection of Hartland Road and Slayton Settlement Road, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday. Officials responded to calls of a motor vehicle accident shortly after 12 p.m. that reported a crash between a passenger vehicle and a dump truck. Authorities said a woman driving the passenger vehicle was partially ejected from the car and airlifted to ECMC with non-life-threatening injuries. After an investigation, officials said the driver was heading eastbound on Slayton Settlement Road when she failed to yield the right of way to a dump truck that was traveling northbound on Hartland Road. Officials said vehicle and traffic violation charges are pending an ongoing investigation.
