Driver accused of causing friend's death in Ogden crash
Alyssa Palomo, 21, has been taken into custody last week after being involved in a fatal crash in Ogden that resulted in the death of a 21-year-old woman in March. She is facing charges including automobile homicide, operating a vehicle negligently causing injury, having an open container of alcohol in a car, failure to stay in a single lane, and speeding. The incident occurred when Palomo, allegedly under the influence of alcohol and cannabis, was driving over the speed limit and collided head-on with another vehicle. Witnesses reported that despite having a designated driver, Palomo decided to drive herself and left the designated driver behind after a party. Palomo's actions led to the tragic crash, which claimed the life of TyLar Londyn Palmer.
