
Driver accused in deadly drunk driving accident in Texas County
A man from St. Louis has been accused of driving under the influence and causing a fatal car crash in Texas County. William Roy White III faces multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated resulting in multiple deaths, manslaughter, serious physical injury, assault, and armed criminal action. The incident, which involved two vehicles, occurred on Highway 17 near Dogs Bluff Conservation Area. The driver of the second vehicle has been declared deceased, while the passenger sustained critical injuries. A trooper at the scene detected the smell of marijuana in White's vehicle and found residue near the driver's seat. Witnesses reported that White's truck rear-ended the stopped SUV without braking, with one witness mentioning that White appeared distracted.
