Driver accused in deadly accident on Appling Harlem Road
A man from Augusta is facing charges in connection with a deadly car accident that occurred at the intersection of Appling Harlem Road and North Fairview Drive. The incident, which took place on Wednesday evening, involved 32-year-old Drayton McDaniel and 79-year-old Mildred Ann Gay. McDaniel, who allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign, collided with Gay's vehicle. Tragically, Gay passed away after being taken to Doctors Hospital. McDaniel has been charged with Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign and 2nd degree Vehicular Homicide. He has been granted a $2,200 bond.
