Driver accused in accident that resulted in Nebraska State Patrol trooper's death

Over five months following the tragic death of Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Kyle McAcy, a man from Palmyra has been formally charged in connection with the incident. Thomas Jordan, aged 56, is facing a misdemeanor charge of motor vehicle homicide in Cass County as stated in legal documents. Trooper McAcy lost his life on February 17 in a collision with a snowplow on Interstate 80 during a severe blizzard while assisting someone involved in another crash. The snowplow, part of the same incident, struck and killed him. Jordan's court appearance is set for August 26.
