Driver accused following Chester collision injures biker

A motorist has been charged with driving while intoxicated following a collision in Chester that resulted in a motorcyclist sustaining serious injuries. The incident took place on West Hundred Road near Curtis Street and Osborne Road on Thursday afternoon. According to authorities, a Dodge Caliber veered into the opposing lane and struck a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction. The injured motorcyclist, an adult male, was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge was detained for DUI. The affected portion of West Hundred Road was shut down for nearly five hours.
