Driver, 20, dies in crash in Martin County; Passenger injured
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of an accident on Saturday evening, where a 20-year-old driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a tree on Sea Branch Boulevard near U.S. 1. Tragically, the driver passed away the next morning due to injuries sustained in the crash. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan helped a 20-year-old passenger escape the burning vehicle. The passenger is currently being treated at HCA Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce. This incident, along with a separate crash in Hobe Sound that claimed the lives of two teenagers, serves as a grim reminder of the dangers on the road. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office encourages all drivers, especially young ones, to drive cautiously and stay alert, especially during nighttime driving.
