Dramatic video shows big rig crash on I-10; police claim drunk 21-year-old driver.
The truck driver responsible for a fatal, fiery crash that claimed three lives and injured others on the 10 Freeway in Ontario has been identified as Jashanpreet Singh, 21, and was arrested by California Highway Patrol officers at the crash site on Tuesday afternoon. Singh faces charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of drugs causing injury. The collision involved eight vehicles, including four semitrucks and four passenger cars, occurring when a big-rig driver failed to stop as traffic slowed down, leading to a tragic chain reaction. The crash led to the deaths of three people, including former Pomona High School assistant basketball coach Clarence Nelson and his wife, Lisa. Singh and the others involved in the crash have been released from the hospital except one, with Singh being held without bail pending his upcoming hearing on Thursday.
