Dispatch: 2 hurt after multi-vehicle crash on I-79 in Washington County
Two people were taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on I-79 in Washington County Monday night. VIDEO: Top stories on Pittsburgh's Action News 4 PennDOT's website, 511, said as of 7:30 p.m., a lane restriction remains on I-79 in the southbound direction near Exit 45 towards Canonsburg following reports of a multi-vehicle crash. Officials also issued a restriction on the northbound side near Exit 48 near Southpointe/Hendersonville. Cameras in the area appeared to show a backup of traffic as multiple responders arrived at the scene. Dispatchers said two people were injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.It is unclear how many vehicles were involved. 511 says all lanes are anticipated to reopen around 9 p.m. This is a developing story.
