Discovery of breast cancer saved by car accident

A woman from McDonough shared how a serious car crash ended up revealing an unexpected twist of fate – it led to the discovery of an aggressive form of breast cancer. While on her way to pick up her husband at the airport, Gloria Jeffery was involved in a collision that resulted in a total loss of her vehicle. Subsequent hospital scans, initially done to check for injuries, surprisingly uncovered a mass on her right breast. A biopsy later confirmed Stage 3 carcinoma. Gloria credited the accident with potentially saving her life, as the cancer was found earlier than it would have been otherwise. After undergoing various treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy, Gloria is now cancer-free. She expressed gratitude for the care she received, believing it was a result of divine intervention. Both Gloria and her husband Anthony, who are marking their 27th wedding anniversary, see their journey as one that began when their Newnan home was destroyed in a tornado, leading them to move to McDonough and setting the scene for the chain of events that followed.
