Details released about deadly crash in Upstate
One person died Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. (Video above shows the crash scene) The crash happened just after 6 a.m. on Old Furnace Road near Sugar Ridge Road. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a 1998 Honda sedan was going east on Old Furnace Road and a 2021 truck was going west on the same road. Troopers said the Honda went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, went back onto the road and crossed the centerline. They said the truck hit the Honda on the passenger side. The driver of the Honda died at the scene, troopers said. The driver of the truck was not injured. The name of the victim has not been released.
