Denver woman identified as pilot killed in Colorado plane collision
The Morgan County coroner's office recently identified a woman who tragically lost her life in a collision between two single-engine planes over the holiday weekend. The incident occurred at an Eastern Plains municipal airport in Colorado and resulted in injuries to three other individuals. The collision occurred as one of the planes was preparing to land at Fort Morgan Municipal Airport. The pilot of one of the planes, Kristen Morris, age 35 and a resident of Denver, was among the deceased. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are collaborating with local authorities to investigate the cause of the collision. Despite the quick response of witnesses who tried to assist, this was a devastating event, and the sheriff's office expressed condolences to the victim's family and friends.
