Denver traffic jam due to car fire on I-70 westbound cleared

Firefighters responded to a call around 3 p.m. near Quebec Street, where a vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Interstate traffic paused as crews managed the fire and authorities assessed the situation. The Colorado Department of Transportation closed I-70 temporarily between Central Park Boulevard and Quebec Street, diverting traffic onto the Quebec Street exit lane. By 4:08 p.m., CDOT confirmed the incident was resolved. The cause of the fire and potential injuries are currently unknown.
