Delays on Westbound Bay Bridge following closure from crash
The westbound lanes of the Bay Bridge were closed in the middle of the day on July 4 due to a multi-vehicle collision. Fortunately, the lanes have since reopened. The Maryland Transportation Authority reported that all three westbound lanes of the Bay Bridge were shut down following a crash with entrapment at approximately 11:45 a.m. Emergency responders, including a medivac helicopter, were present at the scene as confirmed by MDOT. Delays were observed in westbound traffic on the bridge. While eastbound lanes are operational, delays are anticipated as well.
