Death of Utah missionary in North Carolina called tragic.

An 18-year-old missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints tragically passed away in North Carolina after a driver lost control of their vehicle and hit him and his companions. The missionary, Elder Aleki Langi, from Magna, was fatally injured in the incident. One of his companions sustained injuries but has since been released from the hospital, while the other was unharmed. The church expressed its heartfelt condolences to Langi's loved ones and fellow missionaries. Langi, who was waiting for a visa to serve in Jamaica, was serving in the North Carolina Charlotte Mission. Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene, with no arrests made yet. Witnesses described the crash as horrifying and attempted to help the victims, including performing CPR on Langi.
