Death of Utah LDS missionary in Missouri lawn mowing incident.
A senior missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints tragically passed away recently following a lawnmower accident in Gallatin, Missouri. The church confirmed that Elder Brent Blackburn, 68, lost his life while mowing grass on a hill at the Adam-ondi-Ahman historic site last Saturday when the machine tipped over. Elder Blackburn had been serving at the site together with his wife, Sister Carolyn Blackburn, since April. The couple, hailing from Helper, Utah, has our deepest sympathies and prayers during this challenging period, the church expressed in a statement.
