Death of Saudi Prince After Two Decades in Coma

A Saudi royal known as the "Sleeping Prince" has passed away after being in a coma for twenty years following a car accident, the country's royal family announced. The Saudi royal court confirmed the death of Prince Alwaleed bin Khalid bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and stated that the funeral prayer would be held in Riyadh on Sunday. Prince Alwaleed had been in a coma since a car accident in London in 2005, where he was attending military college as a teenager. Son of Prince Khaled bin Talal Al Saud and nephew of Saudi billionaire Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, the late prince was under close medical supervision during his time in a coma and experienced limited movement at times. The Global Imams Council expressed condolences to the Saudi Royal Family, emphasizing the patience and steadfastness of Prince Khaled and his family. Prince Khaled also mourned his son's passing, expressing faith in Allah's decree and offering prayers for his beloved son's soul.
