Death of pedestrian in car collision near Poplar Grove
A tragic incident occurred on Friday morning in Salt Lake City, where a man, identified as 65-year-old Jesse Marchant, was hit while crossing the street near Poplar Grove. The incident took place around 6:30 a.m. close to the Salt Lake City Park and Public Lands Building. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is assisting authorities in their investigation. Despite being taken to the hospital with critical injuries, Marchant sadly passed away several hours later. The police are continuing their inquiries into the matter.
