Deadly one-vehicle crash under investigation
An investigation is underway in Yazoo County after a deadly one-vehicle crash. According to Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers, the crash happened at 9 p.m. Friday, May 16. Shivers says Joseph Scott Letteri, 36, was traveling north on Niven Road near the Benton community when he ran off the road, rolled onto the passenger side and then struck a tree, ripping back the roof. Letteri was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash. The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Yazoo County Sheriff's Department.
