Deadly interstate collision in Thetford claims life of one woman
A single-vehicle accident on Interstate 91 in Thetford led to a fatality on Saturday when a 2004 Pontiac GTO crashed into a guardrail and rolled over. The deceased has been identified as Alyssa Tetreault, 27, from Massachusetts, with the driver, Joseph Hamilton, 40, from New Hampshire, sustaining serious injuries and now hospitalized. Both were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Two minors also suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital. Hamilton faces charges for gross negligent operation resulting in death and is scheduled for a court appearance in June. The incident is currently being investigated by Vermont State Police, who are urging anyone with information to contact them at 802-222-4680.
