Deadly crash reported on Highway 2 in Iowa
DAVIS COUNTY, Iowa -- One person died Sunday night following a head-on crash in southeast Iowa. The collision happened around 9:27 p.m. in the 17500 block of Highway 2 outside of West Grove, just west of Ice Avenue, according to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol. A Jeep was traveling eastbound on Highway 2 when it was struck by a westbound Buick Enclave that was traveling in the eastbound lane. The drivers of each vehicle and a passenger in the Buick Enclave were transported to Davis County Hospital. The ISP said the driver of the Buick Enclave was pronounced dead at the hospital. Their name has not been released. The ISP did not release information about the conditions of the two people injured in the crash. The investigation into the incident continues.
