Deadly crash on I-35 caused by wrong-way driver
Tragic news out of Austin as all northbound lanes of I-35 near the Parmer Lane exit were shut down early Thursday due to a fatal accident involving an 18-wheeler and a smaller vehicle. Austin Police reported that the collision occurred around 2:16 a.m., following reports of a driver going in the wrong direction on the interstate. Sadly, the driver traveling against traffic lost their life in the incident. Traffic diversions are in place at the Braker Lane exit, and the closure is expected to last for several hours according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
