Deadly crash on I-15 in Temecula as BMW jumps median; driver survives

A tragic collision occurred on Saturday night on Interstate 15 in Temecula, resulting in the loss of four lives. Authorities reported that a black BMW M4 driving northbound on the freeway near the Winchester Road exit was involved in the accident. Allegedly driving recklessly, the BMW crossed the concrete median into oncoming traffic, colliding with a white Nissan Sentra and catching fire. Tragically, the driver, a 25-year-old man from Moreno Valley, along with three passengers, a 23-year-old woman, a 14-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old girl in the BMW, lost their lives in the fiery crash. Good Samaritans rescued the driver, who sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the Sentra, a 35-year-old man from Wildomar, also passed away en route to the hospital, while a 22-year-old male passenger from the Sentra was in critical condition in the hospital. Authorities have stated that alcohol was not a contributing factor in the incident, but the California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation. Charges against the BMW driver are currently pending, and witnesses are urged to contact the Temecula-area CHP at (951) 466-4300.
