Deadly crash on Barnes Road and Kendall Drive leaves one person dead and another injured, according to Winston-Salem police
A tragic incident occurred as a 24-year-old man lost his life and another individual was injured in a serious accident, as reported by the Winston-Salem Police Department. The incident took place early Saturday morning at the intersection of Barnes Road and Kendall Drive, involving two vehicles. Nicholas Shepard was driving a 1996 Honda Civic heading westbound when he crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a 2005 Toyota Sienna operated by a 39-year-old man traveling in the opposite direction. Shepard was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local medical facility. The authorities have informed Shepard's next of kin, but the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
