Deadly crash in Watsonville closes streets, causes power outages
Watsonville police say a deadly crash investigation is forcing the closure of several streets on Sunday morning. Police put out a notice at around 3:30 that hard road closures are in the area of Walker Street at Ford Street and Harkins Slough Road at Bayview DrivePolice are investigating a crash that occurred shortly after 1 a.m. near 800 Walker Street. Investigators say that a vehicle crashed into a power pole and that resulted in their death. No further details were available about the crash. Police also say there are power outages in that part of the city. PG&E is in the area trying to restore power. Drivers are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
