Deadly crash in Milwaukee County closes northbound highway
A fatal accident occurred near Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport on Tuesday, Aug. 12. Milwaukee Police Department is currently investigating the incident near the Howell Ave tunnel, where a bicyclist fell into oncoming traffic and tragically lost his life after being struck. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office was called to the scene. Wisconsin Highway 38 has temporarily closed its northbound lanes at the location of the crash as per the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The driver involved in the accident is said to have cooperated with the authorities during the investigation.
