Deadly collision shuts down North Main in Joplin on Saturday morning
In Joplin, Missouri, the police are currently looking into a fatal car accident that occurred this morning on North Main Street. Earlier today, a collision between two vehicles near Murphy and Main caused the closure of the entrance to Landreth Park and led to a power outage affecting the stoplight. The incident involved a red SUV and a black pickup truck, with one vehicle traveling north on Main before hitting a traffic barrier and then colliding with the other vehicle. The driver of the northbound vehicle unfortunately passed away at the scene, while the other driver emerged unharmed. The police are continuing their investigation, and the identities of those involved are being kept confidential until their next of kin have been informed.
