Deadly collision on I-35 in Troy leads to road closures
A serious multi-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 35 near Main Street (Exit 306) after 9:30 p.m. this evening, involving multiple vehicles and resulting in confirmed fatalities. The Bell County Sheriff’s Office, Troy Police, and the Temple Police Department were among the first responders at the scene, with support from the Texas Highway Patrol and fire departments from Troy and Temple. Temple EMS was present to provide assistance for injuries. A significant fire and explosion took place as well. To allow emergency operations to proceed, I-35 will remain closed, and drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes. Updates will be shared as more details are gathered.
