Deadly Collision on Highway 121
The Franklin County Sheriff's Department responded to a collision involving a 2004 Honda CRV and a 2008 Honda motorcycle at the crossing of State 121 and Old U.S. Highway 52. The incident happened on a Saturday afternoon, with the motorcycle driven by Bonnie R. Lapham, 69, tragically colliding with the CRV driven by Samantha R. Forschbach. Lapham, who was not wearing a helmet, lost her life at the scene, as confirmed by the Franklin County Coroner's Office. The investigation is ongoing. This unfortunate event marks the 23rd fatal crash in Franklin County since January 2020, resulting in 29 deaths. Various factors have been attributed to these accidents, highlighting the importance of responsible driving practices.
