Deadly collision in Midland: Pickup truck collides with trailer that did not yield, and is then hit by a semi-truck
A tragic incident occurred on State Highway 158 in Midland, Texas, where a San Angelo resident lost his life in a collision involving multiple vehicles. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident took place early Tuesday morning when a pickup truck driven by Daniel Lee Barrientez Jr. collided with a trailer that failed to yield at the intersection of SH 158 and FM 1379. Despite the efforts of first responders, Barrientez did not survive the crash. The drivers of the other vehicles involved, including Fernando Daniel Gonzalez and Yaikel Hernandez Preito, were fortunately unharmed.
