Deadly collision in Amador County closes Highway 88.
A fatal crash occurred in Amador County on Monday evening, resulting in the death of one person and closing some roadways. The incident took place around 7 p.m. at Aqueduct Grove Road and Highway 88 in Pine Grove, where Amador Fire responded to a head-on collision involving two vehicles. Two individuals sustained major injuries and had to be extricated from their vehicles. Unfortunately, one person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a local hospital. Highway 88 is currently closed with no set time for reopening, and further updates will be shared as they are provided.
