Deadly car crash during police chase after shooting in Southern Arkansas
On June 20, 2025, at 10:26 PM, the Camden Police Department responded to a shooting incident at Lincoln Center after receiving a call. The complainant provided a vehicle description of one of the individuals involved. Police saw the vehicle leaving the area and tried to pull it over, but the car sped away on Highway 24. After losing sight of the vehicle, a motor vehicle accident was reported to the Ouachita County Sheriff's Office on June 21, 2025, at 12:15 AM, near Highway 24. Authorities confirmed that the crashed vehicle was the same one involved in the earlier pursuit. Two individuals were in the vehicle, and sadly, one was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the shooting incident is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Camden Police Department. The fatal crash is being looked into by the Arkansas State Police.
